Organization	Excellent Thoughtful paragraphs that are indented. (Minimum of 5 paragraphs)	Good You used thoughful paragraphing, but some paragraphs could have been broken up into seperate categories.	Fair You have more than one paragraph but need to make lots of changes to your organization.	Poor Your report is only one paragraph.
Research Elements	Excellent Include a glossary with at least 7 words and a bibliography page with at least 3 sources. Glossary words are highlighted in your research report.	Good You only have 5-6 glossary word, but you have 3 sources on your bibliography page.	Fair You have less than 5 glossary words and less than 3 sources on your bibliography page.	Poor You did not include a glossary page and a bibliography page.
Writing Mechanics	Excellent You have corrected all of the spelling and punctuation mistakes from your first draft.	Good You have some mistakes in your spelling and punctuation.	Fair You have many mistakes in your spelling and punctuation.	Poor You have many mistakes and your work is sloppy and difficult to read. It does not seem as if you edited your writing.
Historical Information	Excellent You used your 30 notefacts to include many details about the life of your president. (Growing Up, Presidency & accomplishments)	Good You have 20-25 facts about your president in your research report.	Fair You have many facts about your president, but not from all three major categories.	Poor You did not use notefacts about your president and your report does not have any information or details from the 3 categories.
Writing Style	Excellent Your writing is very interesting and has "voice" without using the "I" word or your personal opinions. You begin your writing "with a bang!"	Good Your writing is interesting and has some voice.	Fair You attempted to be interesting but used too many "I" words and personal opinions.	Poor Your writing style is not very interesting and you used the "I" word and included lots of your own opinions.
