Color Wheel Project Rubric Color Wheel Project Rubric After a review of the color wheel by the teacher, the student will create an original drawing incorporating all of the colors of the color wheel on paper. The student will correctly mix and paint the correct colors on the color wheel in the correct position while creating an interesting composition. 	Excellent 4 pts	Good 3 pts	Average 2 pts	Fair 1 pts
Layout Understanding and Execution	Excellent The color wheel is exceptionally drawn using a specific pattern with the correct number of spaces for the colors.	Good The color wheel is well drawn and represents a specific pattern with the correct number of spaces for the colors.	Average The color wheel is drawn in a specific pattern, but does not follow the directions given for the colors.	Fair The color wheel is poorly drawn and does not follow the instructions given for the pattern or the colors.
Colour order	Excellent Student has all colors in the correct order on the color wheel.	Good Student has 1-2 colors out of order.	Average Student has 3-4 colors out of order.	Fair Student has 5 or more colors out of order.
Craftmanship	Excellent Colors have been exceptionally well-organized, and cleanly painted.	Good Colors have been organized, and painted well.	Average Colors have been placed on the color wheel, but not following proper painting technique. Craftsmanship could be improved.	Fair Colors have been placed on the color wheel, but . craftsmanship needs improvement.
Design Idea	Excellent Student has taken and created a design that is totally his/her own. The student's personality/voice comes through.	Good Student has taken and created a design and has used source material as a starting place. The student's personality comes through in parts of the design.	Average Student has copied some of their design from source material. There is little evidence of creativity, but the student has done the assignment.	Fair Student has not made much attempt to meet the requirements of the assignment.
