Excellent The book report contains detailed description of the plot events, characters and themes. As well as additional information settings. The response is in depth and relevant. It shows learning from the reader.
Syntax and Structure	Needs Development The report contains more than 5 errors of syntax, spelling or sentence structure/expression.	Satisfactory The report contains more than 3 errors of syntax, spelling or sentence structure/expression.	Excellent The report contains insignificant errors than do not take away from the meaning.
Layout	Needs Development The writer has laid out the entry in basic text format. There is no attempt to write it in a journalistic style and the format is pedestrian.	Satisfactory The writer has made an effort to make the report visually appealing by formatting or using relative fonts. There are relevant images and an attempt an authentic audience voice..
