Do you have what it takes to be famous? Write a Math Story, Song, or Poem Create a song/story/poem that demonstrates an understanding of linear equations. The writting should include key vocabulary terms discussed when working with linear equations in two variables (y=mx+b). You may either use the idea of how to write a linear equation from given information or how to graph a line from a linear equation. A written copy of th lyrics must be turned in. Write a Math song/story Below are the guidelines for writing your Math song/story.
	Excellent 4 pts	Good 3 pts	Fair 2 pts	Poor 1 pts
Neatness Song/Poem/Story written copy.	Excellent The written copy is submitted typed.	Good The written copy is submitted in the student's best handwriting.	Fair The written copy is submitted in the student's legible handwriting.	Poor No paper or incomprehensible paper turned in.
Process Does it make sense? Is it the correct use of the algebraic process.	Excellent Words correctly describe the process completely and thoroughly in a unique manner.	Good Words correctly describe the process completely and thoroughly with a couple of mistakes.	Fair Words are incomprehensible and do not make sense. The words do not describe the assignment.	Poor No creative thinking by the author. Copied paper or copied from another person, book or other written, spoken or taped work.
Presentation Presentation to the class must be audible and clearly understood.	Excellent Presentation was clear, speech was easily understood & volume was appropriate.	Good One required element was missing.	Fair Two required elements were missing.	Poor No presentation was done.
