Research / Development of topic

Requirements:
1. Three Research Sources: one book and two internet sources.
2. Ten package labels for food products. Labels must have a written location where product is grown and packaged.
3. Three paragraphs describing the foods and locations where the foods are grown or packaged.

Student has the information and research as required, but topic / theme is unclear or not clearly supported by research and supporting items.

Relevancy of Materials

Requirements:
Package labels must be created by student and include information as to where the food is grown and packaged.

The student did not provide any supporting materials and or did not present items in a manner that supported the material.

Visual aides included but did not support the topic / theme. Items and or information presented in a manner that did not allow the audience to understand how they supported the theme.

Visual aides presented, but not enough or unclear as to purpose and / or how the visual aides demonstrate or support the idea.

Visual aides and supporting items tied into the topic or theme, clearly supported the theme and allowed the audience to develop a better understanding of the subject material.
Presentation - Speaking Voice

Requirements:
Student will present and discuss poster board, package labels, and information about the climate and area of the country where food product is grown.

Student's presentation was not presented on time or was not fully developed.
Fair

Student acted silly during presentation. Student did not fully explain the relevancy of the information and visual aides in support of the topic / theme.
Good

Student presented all information, but did not display knowledge of subject matter.
Excellent

Student presented all information in a serious manner, fully explaining the relevancy of the visual aides and successfully tied in all items to the topic / theme.
Listening

Requirements:
Display appropriate attention and respect during classmates' presentations.

Poor

Student talked during other student's presentations and did not applaud at the end.
Fair

Student applauded at the end of each presentation but did not pay full attention during presentations, sometimes talking.
Good

Student paid full attention, but did not participate in Q & A at the end of each classmate's presentation.
Excellent

Student paid full attention, was quiet while classmates presented, applauded at the end of each presentation and asked pertinent questions about classmate's projects..
