Introduction	Poor Introduction does not grab attention. There is not an easily identifiable thesis or idea of the major points to be discussed.	Fair Introduction establishes the topic or the theme but not both. Not attention-getting.	Good Introduction orients the audience to topic and theme, but is not engaging. The audience has an idea of what is to follow.	Excellent Clever attention-getting introduction with a clear indication of the thesis and major points to be discussed.
Content	Poor Presentation contained little to no valuable material.	Fair Presentation had moments where valuable material was present but as a whole, content was lacking.	Good Presentation had an adequate amount of material and benefited the class.	Excellent Presentation had an exceptional amount of valuable material and was beneficial to the class.
Technology	Poor Little to no effective information and instruction presented. Audience gained little or no value from information and instruction.	Fair Information and instruction presented ineffectively. Material was not understood by audience.	Good Information and instruction presented effectively but material was not absorbed very well by audience.	Excellent Information and instruction presented effectively. Material was understood well by audience.
Organization	Poor There appears to be no clear structure of thoughts. Ideas lack direction. Transitions are awkward and/or non-existent.	Fair Illogical progression of thoughts. An attempt at structure is present, but can be illogical or inconsistent.	Good Ideas flow smoothly from introduction to conclusion.	Excellent Thoughts are clearly organized, developed, and supported to achieve the purpose.
Vocal Delivery	Poor Monotone and/or mumbling. Lacking in volume, pitch, and/or rate.	Fair Some vocal expression, but lacking volume, pitch, and/or rate.
