Saturnalia Presentations 
This rubric will be used to evaluate students' teaching ability while delivering a 15-20 minute presentation of a prepared lesson plan on a provided topic. Topical Outline and four exam questions must be submitted 24 hours prior to presentation.

Scholarly presentation skills

Clear pronunciation, direct eye contact, easy to hear.

The presenters giggled, fooled around and did not take the presentation seriously.

Communication skills could be improved. The presenters had monotone voices, poor eye contact, and were hard to hear.

The presenters demonstrated good non-verbal communication.

Use of Visuals

Almost all text with very few visuals. Presenters read the text that was on the screen.

Presentation was text heavy, lacked enough visuals. Presenters referred to their visuals but did not point out specifics.

Presentation needed a few more visuals. Presenters referred to the visual frequently and pointed out specifics.
Excellent

Well crafted presentation, followed the 70/30 guide. Presenters referred to the visual throughout and pointed out several specifics to illustrate points.
Preparation

No signs of preparation and practice in the team. Disorganized, late or done day of presentation.
