Tone is consistent, clear, and centered throughout the range of the voice.
Great

Tone is mostly, clear, and centered through the normal singing range.
-Extremes in range sometimes cause tone to be less controlled.
-Tone quality does not detract from the performance.
Average

Tone is sometimes uncontrolled Occasionally the tone detracts from overall performance.
Poor

Mumbles, shouts and sing inappropriately.

-Speaks instead of singing or will not sing.
Expression and Style

Excellent

Full of expression in the voice and gives gestures and apporiate movement.

Follows melodic direction.
Great

Mostly shows expression.
Average

Shows some expression.
Poor

Rarely demonstrated expression and style.

Just sings the notes.
