Explanation of Project	Poor Does not explain the project or the book to the reader.	Fair Makes an attempt to explain the project and book, but the reader is left confused about the student's project.	Good The project is explained to the reader, connections between the project elements and the book are made.	Excellent The student clearly explains the connection and relevance between project elements and the novel. The student shows an understanding of the story elements and their effect on the project.
Textual References	Poor Does not include specific textual references.	Fair Includes one textual reference.	Good Includes two textual references that do not connect with the reflection.	Excellent Includes two strong textual references that are relevant to supporting the reflection.
Paragraph Structure	Poor The paragraphs do not show an understanding of paragraph structure.
