Research Project/Poster Presentation 
The students will put together and present various materials regarding their own topic during their oral presentation. The presentation will contain information that the students collected regarding their topic, as well as visuals and references.

The presentation materials include all information relevant to the topic in an organized fashion, using proper mechanics and usage.
Good

The presentation materials include all relevant information; however, it is not well-organized. Has good mechanics and usage with a few errors.
Fair

Does not have all of the relevant information in the presentation materials. Mechanics and usage are poor.
Poor

The presentation materials is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in information presented.
Work quality/effort

Exceeds

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
Good

The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this project.
Fair

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Poor

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Visual Aid

Exceeds

The visual aids have an element of creativity and style, and is not just a list of facts. Information is presented in a clear and concise manner with full understanding of the subject.
Good

The visual aids are clear and logical and contains facts as well as very few mistakes. Information is presented in a somewhat clear manner with fair understanding of the subject. Good clear visual presentation.
Fair

The visual aids lack style and reads more like a list of facts than an oral presentation. It lacks neatness and clarity.
Poor

The visual aids do not reveal a clear understanding of the subject matter and there are many errors. The poster lacks neatness and clarity. Poster is not creative.
Presentation

Exceeds

The student presents the information clearly and displays a complete understanding of their information. It is evident that the student was well prepared.
Good

The student presents the information fairly clearly and displays a reasonable understanding of their information.
Fair

The information presented is not clearly displayed throughout the project
Poor

Not enough preparation was done for the presentation of the information, it therefore lacks many elements of what is expected.
Paraphrasing

Exceeds

Paraphrasing is evident and done with good descriptive and vivid words.
Good

Paraphrasing evident, with a clear image displaying a reasonable summary of material researched.
Fair

Paraphrasing done some of the time, but evidence is not throughtout the project.
Poor

Used another's words, no paraphrasing evident.
