Un Leçon de Français 
This rubric is designed for a French video presentation performance assessment in which the students will be presenting vocabulary and grammar concepts from the previous two years. Their video must have two parts: La Vocabularie in which they present the important vocabulary in a creative way. La Réalité in which they present a dialogue/situation demonstrating their understanding of the vocabulary and grammar points covered in the chapters in addition to any previous knowledge they have from French 1 & 2. Students will be graded as a group. The skit must be videotaped and either handed to the teacher in VHS, DVD format or posted on YouTube by ________________.

Students had 4- 5 grammar points used incorrectly throughout the video, with some effort for correction.

Students had less than 3 grammar points used incorrectly throughout the video, with great effort for correction.
4. Fluency

Poor1-2

Students presented a below average demonstration of French fluency. Students stumbled over words and missed or confused lines multiple times. Students' use of note-cards for lines was obvious. It appeared students did not understand what they were saying.
Fair3-5

Students presented an average demonstration of French fluency. Students stumbled over words and missed or confused lines more than 3 times. Students had to use note-cards for lines often. Students intonation/expression was often inappropriate.
Good-6-8

Students presented an average demonstration of French fluency. Students stumbled over words at times and confused lines two or less times. Student had to use note cards for lines often. Students' intonation indicated an understanding of what they were saying.
Excellent-9-10

Students presented an average to above average performance. Students had few to no issues with fluency.
7. Creativity

Poor1-2

The students showed little creativity in their video. The video was late, preparation was disorganized, and/or took away from the overall quality of the work
Fair3-5

The students' presentation was somewhat creative, yet left room for much improvement.
The video was on time, preparation was disorganized, and/or took away from the overall quality of the work
Good-6-8

The students' presentation was creative and unique, however left room for improvement.
Students worked together with little or no problems, video was on time, and/or organization was lacking but acceptable.
Excellent-9-10

The students' work was on time, very creative,unique and entertaining!
8. Participation

Poor1-2

Students did not work well as a group. It was obvious that one or two students did the majority of the work.
Fair3-5

Not all group members participated equally according to the task.
Good-6-8

All group members fully participated, however, there is definite room for improvement.
Excellent-9-10

All group members fully participated and brought ideas to their group.
