Writing to Win Section of Resource Book/Portfolio All students in all classes at Valdosta High School are required to engage in Writing to Win activities. During walk-throughs administrators may ask to see individual student's WtW log. In French 1, Writing to Win prompts will be used to assess comprehension of culture, current events, vocabulary, and grammar. In French 1 WtW is synonymous with a quiz. Missed or failed WtW's should be made up in 5th block within a week of the original date. 	Poor 0.25 pts	Fair 0.7 pts	Good 1 pts
Cover Sheet 2 pts	Poor Cover sheet is not labeled in large, easy to read letters. Additional decoration detracts from the unity and purpose of the cover sheet. If additional words are used they are written in English.	Fair Cover sheet may not be labeled in large, easy to read letters. Additional decoration may not add to the unity and purpose of the cover sheet. If additional words are used some may be written in correct French where as others are in English.	Good Cover sheet is labeled in large, easy to read letters. Additional decoration adds to the unity and purpose of the cover sheet. If additional words are used they are written in correct French.
Log of Entries 3 pts	Poor Log is not up to date and does not contain all necessary information.	Fair Log may not be up to date or may contain partial information.	Good Log is up to date and contains all necessary information.
Writing Samples 10 pts	Poor Most writing samples are not accurately labeled. There are usually more than 2 prompts per page, one per side. Samples receiving a score less than 3 have not been redone and are attached to original.	Fair Some writing samples may not be accurately labeled. Occasionally there may be more than 2 prompts per page, one per side. All samples receiving a score less than 3 have not been redone and are attached to original.
