Small Appliance Demonstration 
Teams will demonstrate the proper use of an assigned small appliance while teaching their class members about the uses and safety issues concerning this appliance. Team members are responsible for selecting a recipe that fits the financial and time restraints given

Preparation for demonstration

Team members are to prepare for demonstration prior to class period so that delays are not experienced. Work area will be left in organized condition.

Poor

Team members did not cooperate in preparation. Progress during class time was delayed.
Fair

Preparation was complete yet there was some confusion due to inadequate planning

Planning and organization was complete allowing for a smooth presentation
Supply List

All supplies along with exact amounts needed are turned in at requested time.

Mrs. Nelson is unable to purchase or acquire supplies do to missing information.

Demonstration presentation

Demonstrate was done with in full view of class members. The team shared equally in the presentation which demonstrates the small appliance in a manner that improves understanding. The team avoids dead air time by discussing aspects of the appliance.

The appliance is demonstrated adequately, but the demonstration lack polish

Safety Consideration

Safety is discussed and practiced during the demonstration

Generally safety considerations were shared and followed throughout the demonstration.

Preparations done by the appliance

Appliances are designed to reduce work. Explain what the appliance does to make life simpler

The capabilities of the appliance and how it makes life simple are covered in depth thus opening posibilities to the audience.
Clean-up

The team completely cleans up following their demonstration at the alloted time at the end of the hour. Any clean-up not complete is completed by the end of AP or before leaving school, which ever comes first.

Poor

The lab was left with items not adequately cleaned and placed in the correct location. This will interfer with the next class needing the lab or delay Mrs. Nelson's departure from school.
Fair

Clean-up is complete however it is not equally by all team members. There may be a few items placed in the wrong locations. These errors do not interer with the success of others.
Good

Clean-up is completed perfectly. All times are cleaned and returned to their correct location. In fact, the lab is left better than the team found it.
