Difficult to comprehend. No connection to theme/concept. 5 "subjects".	Good Some explanations given, but with little development. Examples are somewhat related to events in the novel. Some attempt to connect report card to theme/concept has been made. 6 "subjects".	Excellent Complete explanations given and are easy to understand. Several examples from the novel have been used to justify grade earned. Connects report card to theme/concept. 7 "subjects".
Improvement Recommendations	Poor No attempt made to make recommendations for future improvement.	Fair Little attempt made to make recommendations.	Good Student provides recommendations for grade improvement.	Excellent Student makes clear recommendations based on events in the story. Effort is apparant.
