Construction Paper Birds-1st grade
Students choose a color of tissue paper and glue to the drawing paper, covering the drawing paper completely, using a watery glue mixture and paint brush. Then they choose 2 colors to make their birds, plus yellow or orange for the beak and feet. Then they draw a circle and oval on one color of paper, and a wing and tail on the other color paper. Feet and beak are drawn and cut from the yellow or orange paper. The head, body, wing, and tail feathers should be colored in with a light layer of oil pastel to add a feathery look. Everything should be cut out and glued together on the tissue paper to make a bird.
