Retell	Poor Student can retell little to no parts of the story.	Fair Student can retell a basic outline of the story.	Good Student can retell story with sufficient detail.	Excellent Student can retell story with rich detail and no help from the teacher.
Neatness	Poor Poster looks messy.	Fair Poster looks messy in some areas.	Good Poster has an overall pleasing appearance.	Excellent Extra attention has been made to keep poster looking neat and organized as well as writing.
Conventions	Poor Many spelling and grammar errors are present.	Fair 3-6 spelling or grammar errors are present on the poster.	Good 2 or fewer spelling or grammar errors are present on the poster.	Excellent No spelling or grammar arrors are present.
Creativity	Poor Poster is not colored. Little or no effort has been made to add detail.	Fair Poster is partly colored with regular letters and few details.	Good Poster is colorful with bold lettering and some detail.	Excellent Poster is colorful and attractive with clear, bold lettering and careful attention to detail.
