Newton's Laws of Motion Project Newton's Laws of Motion Project Student demonstrates understanding of Newton's Three Laws of Motion. Each project must include the description of the Newton's 3 Laws of Motion and illustrate/demonstrate accurately each Law of Motion. Newton's Laws
	Emerging 4 pts	Partially Proficient 6 pts	Proficient 8 pts	Advanced 10 pts
Understanding 3 Laws Students will choose the law their project aligns to and explain how their project aligns to it.	Emerging Laws have fundamental mistakes or are missing.	Partially Proficient All 3 laws are stated and some mistakes.	Proficient All 3 laws are stated with accuracy.	Advanced All 3 laws are stated and accurate, going beyond a basic understanding.
Diagrams/Demonstration	Emerging Project includes illustrations or demonstrations but most are not accurate representations of the law of motion.	Partially Proficient Project includes some or partially accurate illustration/ demonstration of the law of motion.	Proficient Project includes accurate illustrations/ demonstrations of the law of motion.	Advanced Project includes at least 3 accurate illustrations/ demonstrations of the law of motion and provides a deep understanding of applications of the laws.
Creativity	Emerging Project is somewhat creative. Missing many materials.	Partially Proficient Project is somewhat creative and has 2-3 materials used.	Proficient Project is creative and has 3-4 materials used.	Advanced Project is creative and has more than 5-6 materials used.
Neatness	Emerging Project is not neat. Will need to redo for grading.	Partially Proficient Project is missing neatness.	Proficient Project is neat and quality is okay.	Advanced Project is very neat and quality is great.
