Science Experiment
	Excellent: 4 pts	Good: 3 pts	Fair: 2 pts	Poor 1 pts
Prediction 4 pts	Excellent: Student offers a clear, carefully explained prediction of what will happen based upon their own scientific knowledge.	Good: Student offers an explanation of what they predict will happen using some scientific knowledge.	Fair: Student makes a guess as to what might happen but the ideas are unsupported.	Poor Student made NO prediction.
Observations 3 pts	Excellent: The student made ALL observations and made a recording of these clearly in sentences.	Good: The student made MOST observations and recorded them in sentences.	Fair: A few observations are included / or those included are inaccurate.	Poor NO observations are made or recorded.
Neatness/Procedure 2 pts	Excellent: Procedure is clear, easy to follow and carefully completed with step by step instructions.	Good: Procedure is complete and easy to follow. Step by step instructions are included but some steps are missing.	Fair: Procedure is incomplete, with only a few steps that cannot be followed.	Poor NO procedure is stated/recorded.
Conclusions 1 pts	Excellent: Clear and concise CONCLUSIONS are given. Conclusion clearly explains the ALL of the results using scientific language.	Good: Conclusions are present and complete, and explains MOST of the findings of the results.	Fair: Conclusion is PARTIALLY present and/or inaccurate.	Poor NO conclusion is presented.
