RHYTHM ALL AROUND
Students will research the rhythm tree(all note values from a whole note to a 16th note) and include all the rhythms in a recording. All sounds should come from surroundings with the student engaging material items in order to create the rhythms needed.

POOR
There is no evidence of student understanding of project. No understanding of the differing rhythms found in the rhythm tree. Only 1 rhythm found throughout the project.
GOOD
There is some evidence of understanding the rhythm tree and various note values. All sounds have a varied rhythmic value thus clearly denoting some knowledge of note values.
EXCELLENT
There is clear evidence that the student understands note values from a whole note to a 16th note. There are many rhythms present with varying note values and obvious mastery of the concept.
Technology
POOR
There is no evidence that the student even attempted to understand the infusion of technology in the project. Students exhibited no effort to make recordings.
GOOD
There is some evidence of comfort infusing technology into the project. Student creates a good recording with decent sound quality and proper use of the technology.
EXCELLENT
There is clear evidence of mastery of the technology component needed to produce the rhythm project. The quality of the sound recordings is excellent and quickly engages the listener in the want to listen to more. Each sound is unique so as to present clear sound differences for each rhythm.
Creativty
POOR
There is no effort to present all 5 necessary note values for the project. Student does note seem interested in creating something of interest for the listener. Poor attitude.
GOOD
There is a good amount of creative energy with the group with excellent sound choices creating a very nice palette of sound for the listener.
EXCELLENT
There is clear evidence of amazing creative energy that creates an amazing soundscape of great interest for the listener.
