Letter	Exceeds The student has convincingly written a letter to someone that is neatly, no scratch outs, and it is clear and accurate.	Achieving The student has written a letter to someone, but with one scratch out, and it is accurate.	Emerging The student's letter to someone is written with scratch outs, and it is not clear and/or accurate.	Does not Meet The student does not have a letter to someone.
Organization	Exceeds The student's response is organized and neatly put together in letter form with a date, greeting, signature, and citation at the bottom. It includes the addresses for a formal letter.	Achieving The student's response is organized and put together in letter form, but is missing a date, greeting, and/or signature.	Emerging The student's response is organized and put together in letter form.	Does not Meet The student's response is not organized or put together in letter form.
