Cell Song Cell Unit Final Assessment At the end of the unit students will will create a song that incorporates all the cell organelles. students will be assessed on how well they understand the cell cycle and if they included all cell organelles, and understand each organelles function. plant v. animal cell Students should be able to identify if a cell is plant or animal.	Poor Does not know any difference between plant and animal cell.	Fair Only able to list up to three differences between plant and animal cells.	Good Student knows the differences implant and animal cells. Can list all of the differences.	Excellent The student can explain, in detail, all of the differences between plant and animal cells.
organelles Students should be able to name and identify all organelles.	Poor Student knows the name of 1-2 organelles.	Fair Student knows 3-4 organelles.	Good Student knows all organelles.	Excellent Student knows all organelles and can identify them.
organelles and functions Students understanding of the cells organelles and their functions.	Poor Student can name and describe the function of 1-3 organelles.	Fair Students can name and describe the function of 4-5 organelles.	Good student can name and describe all organelles.	Excellent Students can name, describe, and identify all organelles in both plant and animal cells.
cell cycle Students knowledge of the cell cycle will be examined.	Poor Student does not know any phases of the cell cycle.	Fair Student can name the phases of the cell cycle in no particular order.	Good Student knows the phases of the cell cycle in order, as well as knowing what happens in at least 2 phases.	Excellent Student knows the order of the phases in the cell cycle and can thoroughly describe what takes place in each phase.
