There is a theme evident in parts of the poem however it is unclear and not precise.

Grammar & Spelling (Conventions)
Excellent Achievement
Writer makes no errors in grammar or spelling that distract the reader from the content. Writer shows a strong grasp of poetic language through the use of punctuation. Extensive self editing is evident on the final draft.

Writer makes 1-2 errors in grammar or spelling that do not distract the reader. Punctuation is used correctly with the tone of the poem.
Satisfactory Achievement
Writer makes 3-4 errors in grammar or spelling that are noticeable to the reader but do not detract from readability. Punctuation usage is acceptable for tone of poem. Some self editing is evident on the final draft.
Limited Achievement
Writer makes more than 4 errors in grammar or spelling that are noticeable to the reader, however poem is still readable. Limited use of punctuation. Limited self editing is evident on the final draft.
Low Achievement
Punctuation and spelling is poor with the poem being unreadable. No self editing apparent on the final draft.
