Television Productions Television Productions Four short clips are due every quarter. Students may use a variety of genres in creating their clips. If there are special events that need taping (ex. BEK sports, concert, etc.) those too will count as a short clip. Students are scheduled time each quarter to work on these projects. Pre-production	Poor Student did not explain the impending project.	Fair Student explained the project to Mrs. Prozinski prior to taping. Details were given as to story line.	Good Student explained the project and made initial contact with the sources to be used in the filming. Permission was granted by Mr. Hanson if subject matter may be questionable.
Production	Poor Filming was done with little or no planning.	Fair Filming was done with adherence to the rules of good filming.	Good Filming was done and changes were made to enhance the scenes. Teacher suggestions and/or corrections were followed.
Music/dialogue/sound	Poor Sounds quality was poor, inappropriate and/or confusing. Movie contained background noise that detracted from the segment.	Fair Most sound and dialogue were necessary and effective. Some background noise evident. Used appropriate music.	Good Excellent use of dialogue and wound which enhanced and advanced the short clip. All edits were crisp and seamless. Music was used to enhance the clip.
Transitions/titles/effects	Poor Transitions/titles/ effects were not used.	Fair Most of the transitions/titles/ effects were effective and appropriate.	Good All of the used transitions/ titles/effects were highly effective and enhanced the short clip.
Shots	Poor Little variation in types of shots. Didn't use a tripod. Shot into the sunlight.	Fair The shots were varied (wide, medium, close up). Interesting angles used. Use of tripod or steady filming evident.	Good The shots were steady, many interesting and innovation angles. Camera work was excellent.
Flow	Poor Short clip did not show evidence of theme.	Fair Short clip had necessary components. Story and clips were well connected.	Good Short clip showed creativity and originality. Clip flowed in an engaging and thoughtful way and grabbed the audience's attention. Lots of artistic and technical levels combined to make an excellent short clip.
