Value creation in pen and ink
Exceeded expectations = A+
Excellent technique is effectively used for hatching, cross-hatching, and stippled areas. Line directions are chosen with care and create the right effect. A wide range of different values were created with variation in number and space between lines and dots.
Met expectations = A
Proper technique is used for hatching, crosshatching, and stippling. Line directions are chosen with care. Different values are created with variations in number of lines and space between lines.
Met most of the expectations =B
Proper technique is used for hatching/crosshatching, but with inconsistency. Line directions/ dots were sometimes chosen incorrectly and create the wrong effect. A few different values were created with slight variations in number of lines and space between lines.
Met a few of the expectations = C
Improper technique is used for hatching, cross-hatching, or stippling. Line directions were poorly chosen and take away from the accuracy of the picture. A limited number of different values were created due to very few variations in number of lines/dots and space between lines/dots.
Barely met the expectations = D
Outline of animal was created, but no hatched, crosshatched, or stippled value attempted.
Removing Grid

Met expectations = A

Met most of the expectations =B
In quite a few areas there are some remaining grid lines faintly visible.
