Patriot or Loyalist
In this assigmentt, you will pick a side in the American Revolutionary War, either a Patriot or a Loyalist and explain to me why chose that postition. When explaining/argue in your essay why you are a Loyalist/Patriot. You must use real events that happened as a reason why (your class notes will come in handy). You cannot say, "I would be a Loyalist because I like Great Britain." This statement does not show me that you understood why people in America chose sides in the Revolutionary War and does not explain why or argue why this position was taken. The essay should be one page in length, single-spaced and hand written. Use this rubric to guide your writing. This assignment is due at the beginning of class on Thursday with 15 minutes given on Tuesday and Wednesday for in-class work.
