Habitat Research Project- Grade 4 Habitat Research Project- Grade 4 Students will recreate their chosen animal and the habitat it lives in using materials of their choice. The habitat should be created on a sturdy surface. The animal must be a 3-dimensional recreation made out of any material you choose. Diorama/Research

Habitat Re-creation	level 1 Project is covered with one type of material. Unable to determine habitat or animal.	level 2 Project uses two different types of materials. Habitat is identifiable but inaccurate.	level 3 Project uses more than 2 types of materials. The habitat is identifiable with an accurate representation.	level 4 Project is completely covered, uses many different types of materials to accurately represent the habitat of chosen animal.
Animal Re-creation	level 1 Animal represented is store bought or 2 dimensional.	level 2 A 3 dimensional animal is recreated, but is poorly made or not identifiable.	level 3 A 3-dimensional animal is creatively made to represent the chosen animal. One or two characteristics may be missing.	level 4 The 3-D animal is creatively made, clearly identifiable, and realistic. All characteristics of the animal are visible.
