Tree of Thanks Let It Snow! Students will create a tree of thanks using things they are thankful for in their lives. Rubric Code: W66A2X By pamela72 Draft Public Rubric Subject: Arts and Design Type: Project Grade Levels: K-5, 6-8

Tree	3 Student drew a tree which has at least 7 branches which reach out to the edges of the paper.	2 Student drew 6 or less branches.	1 No tree was drawn.
Words	3 Student added the word "thanks" in the tree trunk. They wrote at least 7 things they are thankful for in the tree branches.	2 Student included 6 or less things they are thankful for in the tree.	1 No words were added in the branches.
Lettering	3 Student used at least 3 different types pf lettering on their drawing.	2 Student used two types of lettering on the drawing.	1 Student only used one type of lettering on the drawing.
Color	3 Student created patterns (not just solid colors) between the all the branches. The tree was left black and white for contrast.	2 Student colored the tree branches, did not use patterns (colored solid colors) and/or coloring is incomplete.	1 No color was added to the drawing. Drawing is incomplete.
Craftsmanship	3 Tree was neatly and carefully drawn. Words are written carefully in the student's best printing.	2 Drawing is mostly neat with some areas which could use improvement.	1 Drawing appears messy. Student needs to work on neatness when completing assignments.
Time and Effort	3 Class time was used wisely. Much time and effort went into the planning and creation of the drawing.	2 Most of the class time was used wisely, but the student could have been more focused during the creation of the drawing. Assignment is incomplete due to lack of focus or too many tardies or absences.
