You need to work to improve your basic paragraph skills. 3 pts	Level 3 You have a solid knowledge of the assignment and you demonstrated this. 3.5 pts	Level 4 You show you have insightful ideas about the assignment and you can organize your thoughts with sophistication. 4 pts
Topic Sentence	Level 1 Topic sentence is missing or does not introduce the paragraph.	Level 2 Basic topic sentence.	Level 3 Interesting topic sentence that introduces the topic of the paragraph.	Level 4 Powerful, interesting topic sentence that intoduces the topic of the paragraph.
Supporting Details	Level 1 Provides only 1 simple idea, with limited description.	Level 2 Provides 2-3 simple ideas, with some description.	Level 3 Provides 2-3 clear ideas, with appropriate description	Level 4 Provides 3-4 complex ideas, with vivid description
