Epic Speech 
Students will compose a speech as one of the characters from one of the epics that we are studying (Beowulf, The Iliad, and The Odyssey). Student’s speeches must have a theme or focus that is relevant to the epic they choose. Themes must be reinforced throughout the speech and the climax of the speech must be both intriguing and thought provoking. Students will be graded on theme, theme reinforcing methods, and the strength of the climax of the speech.
