Spelling	Proficient Spelling is correct.	Above Basic Spelling is usually correct on common words.	Basic Spelling errors are frequent and repeated.	Emerging Spelling gets in the way of understanding the content.
Punctuation	Proficient The punctuation is accurate, even adds to the meaning of the content.	Above Basic Punctuation accurate.	Basic Punctuation is random, and the basic rules are shown.	Emerging Punctuation awareness is not evident.
Grammar and usage	Proficient Grammar and usage are alway correct. An adjective or suffix is used on every page.	Above Basic Grammar and usage is good. A suffix or adjective is used on most pages.	Basic Problems with grammar and usage are not serious enough to distort the meaning. Suffixes and Adjectives are not used throughtout.	Emerging Errors in grammar and usage are very noticable.
