Structure (form and usage) & Examples
10 pts

Exceeds Expectations

You accurately provided all rules to teach the topic. Each rule was written clearly and several examples were provided: analogies, MC items, grammar used in context from textbook. Complete sentences were used. The examples were correct and easy to understand. You referenced the textbook in your presentation. If we want to learn more, we know where to go.
Developing

You did not accurately provide all of the rules to teach the topic. Some rules might be missing, examples were not plentiful. Complete sentences might not have been used. Examples might not have been correct and/ or easy to understand. You did not consistently reference the textbook in your presentation.
Needs more work

You did not explain the structure with examples. Or the rules and examples were incorrect. It is clear you do not understand how to teach the topic. Rules and examples might have been printed off from the Internet instead of using the textbook as reference. Or, you provided only one example.
Integrating vocabulary in product
10 pts

Students use the vocabulary to create a product using the vocabulary in a creative way. This can be something the student creates using as many of the vocabulary words as possible.

Exceeds Expectations

The product was interesting and provided help for teaching students the topic. The product included a creative approach to using the vocabulary. The repetitive nature provided opportunities to practice the vocabulary. There were at least 20 words from the lesson in the product.
Developing

The product was somewhat interesting and somewhat helps students practice their vocabulary topic. The product might not include some sort of creative approach to using the vocabulary. The product did not provide many opportunities for practice. The product had between 19-10 vocabulary words from the lesson.
Needs more work

The product did not engage the class, and included little or no vocabulary practice. The product did not provide enough examples. The student used some type of electronic help that he or she cannot reproduce when follow up questions are asked using a similar level.
Gamification
10 pts

Post links in the Study Guide for us to practice in class.

Exceeds Expectations

The game provided a list of rules to explain how to play. All students had a role in the game. The game applied to the grammar topic and was creative and easy to understand.
Developing

The game might not have provided a list of rules to explain how to play. Some students might not have a role in the game. The game might not apply to the grammar topic. The game isn't very creative or easy to understand.
Needs more work

The game might be missing a list of rules, didn't apply to the topic, or wasn't created. The game didn't demonstrate creativity or might have been confusing.
Formative (10 MC questions)
10 pts

Remember that the final exam will be Multiple Choice questions, so the formative should provide practice.

Exceeds Expectations

The formative had a minimum of ten MC questions. The formative reflected what the topic was supposed to teach. The grammar, spelling, and punctuation were correctly used. The quiz provided meaningful questions to check for student understanding.
Developing

The formative might not have a minimum of ten MC questions. The formative might not have reflected what the topic was supposed to teach. Some of the grammar, spelling, and punctuation were not correctly used. The quiz didn't completely provide meaningful questions to check for student understanding.
Needs more work

The formative didn't have a minimum of ten questions. The formative did not reflect what the topic is supposed to teach. Grammar, spelling, and punctuation were not correctly used.
