	Emerging 1 pts	Learning 2 pts	Proficient 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts
Point of View	Emerging The student lacks skills and knowledge in the point of view area. The student cannot identify, nor use the correct point of view when asked or prompted.	Learning The student displays the simplest ideas and objectives in the area of point of view. Sixty percent of the time, the student can identify and use the correct point of view.	Proficient The student displays grade-level objectives as taught. Eighty percent of the time, the student can identify and use the correct point of view.	Excellent The student contains in-depth inferences and analysis in the point of view area. One hundred percent of the time, the student can identify and use the correct point of view and completes an extra assignment to prove so. Additionally, a comic strip is written by the student in second person format to achieve this level.
