Students will also write their own questions, where the answer can be found in the text. Students will answer the questions they created referring explicitly to the story. The student is unable to write questions about the text.	Developing Student is able to correctly answer some questions about a text. Some of the answers make sense. Answers may be incomplete. Student able to ask some questions from text. Student able to answer some questions they created.	Proficient Student is able to answer most questions about a text. The answers make sense. Student able to ask questions about the text. Student able to answer questions they created.	Exceeds Student is able to answer all questions correctly. All of the answers make sense. Student able to ask questions about the text. Student able to answer questions they created.
Details and Support	Well Below The student provides no details or support from the text.	Developing The student provides limited details or support from the text.	Proficient The student provides details and support from the text.	Exceeds The student provides many details and support from the text. Referring explicitly to a paragraph or page number.
Mechanics	Well Below The student exhibited numerous capitalization, and/or punctuation errors. Writes in incomplete sentences.	Developing Some of the student's answers are correct for capitalization, and/or punctuation. May have some incomplete sentences.	Proficient The student's answers have mostly been corrected or contain only a few errors in capitalization, and/ or punctuation errors. Writes in complete sentences.	Exceeds The student's answers are free of any capitalization, and or punctuation errors. Student uses quotation marks correctly.
