LS 2C - 5 Paragraph Essay This rubric is used to help readers score an essay.
	Advanced Reader understands and easily follows the writer’s expression of ideas. 10 pts	Proficient Reader understands<BR> writer’s ideas. 8 pts	Partially Proficient Reader occasionally has<BR> difficulty understanding<BR> or following the writer’s ideas. 6 pts	Incomplete Reader has difficulty identifying or following the writer’s ideas. 4 pts
Response to Topic 20 % Discuss the relationship between reverberation, interference, and acoustics? How do these terms affect the building of concert halls?	Advanced Presents a clearly focused main idea that addresses the topic. There is a clear, concise and focused answer to the question.	Proficient Uses the writing prompt to establish a main idea. Content is clear, but may not be focused or completely answer the question.	Partially Proficient Addresses the prompt, though the focus may shift or contain errors in content.	Incomplete Attempts to address prompt but with little or no success inanswering the question.

Partially Proficient Did some research and attempted to cite the sources correctly.	Incomplete Demonstrates little or no research and does not cite the sources.
