A Decades Party
Each student will research a person and then simulate the time period with a party. You must dress as the character and complete research about this person. You entry to the party is dependent on a ticket. Your ticket is the timeline card you must have when you arrive at the party. What would a party be without good conversation (you must inteview 6 guests) and food and drink! (extra credit for bringing food or drink that was introduced during the decade

Poor effort. Does not intersct with others. Unable to answer questions about charcter from others. Lack of knowledge. Comletes 3 or less interviews.
Apprentice (2)
Good effort. Attempts to interact with others. Does not know enough about character to answer questions from others. Completes 4 interviews but not all have met the criteria of 5 Qs and 5 As
Proficient (3)
Very Good effort Not fully "into" character. Student completes 5 interviews that include the persons full name and greatest accomplishments along with answers to 3 other questions for a total of 5. Student follows directions from Q & A sheet.
Advanced (4)
Student interacts with others with realism and enthusiasm. Gets "into" character. Student completes 6 interviews that include the persons full name and greatest accomplishments along with answers to 3 other questions for a total of 5. Student follows directions from Q & A sheet.
Preparation/Timeline Card (7pts)
Novice (1)
No costume or prop. No timeline card.
Apprentice (2)
Student is not prepared. Only a partial costume (a hat, or just a jacket, no prop). No timeline card
Proficient (3)
Student has a complete costume and prop but not appropriate for the time frame (wrong decade for example).Timeline card does not meet all the specifications
Advanced (4)
Student is well preapred with a complete costume and prop that are appropriate for time period. Timeline card meets all the specifications.
