Students compare data.

Student is unable to compare data.
Fair

Student compares data in a superficial way without documentation.
Good

Student compares data in a meaningful way and documents the comparison.
Exceeds

Student does a detailed comparison of the data and documents the comparison in full sentences.
Inferences

Students make inferences to help understand their analysis.

Poor

Student is unable to make inferences about the results of the analysis.
Fair

Student makes superficial inferences about the results of the analysis and includes only one avenue of explanation.
Good

Student makes meaningful inferences about the results of the analysis and includes multiple avenues of explanation.
Exceeds

Student makes meaningful and insightful inferences about the results that reflect multiple avenues of explanation and makes connections to supporting content learned in the unit.
