Elements of Art 25 pts	Exceeds Standards The designs include visual examples of all 7 of the elements of art. Each element is represented in a creative and thought provoking way.	Meets Standards The design utilizes 7 visual examples of the elements of art.	Emerging Standards The design utilizes 3-4 visual examples of the elements of art.	Needs Improvement The design utilizes 2 or fewer visual examples of the elements of art.
Overall Design 25 pts	Exceeds Standards The designs include creative compositions in all sections. The overall look of design feels unified.	Meets Standards The artwork in most of the sections includes creative compositions. There is unity in the design.	Emerging Standards The artwork in each section has 1-2 images centered, some images are drawn too small, and there is a lack of creativity.	Needs Improvement Images are drawn too small, images are centered in each section and lacks creativity in composition.
Craftsmanship 25 pts	Exceeds Standards The design is neat and correct. There are no gaps,pencil lines are completely hidden.	Meets Standards The design has 1-2 stray marks or smudges that are not neat.	Emerging Standards The design has 3-4 stray marks or smudges that are not neat.	Needs Improvement The design has 5-6 stray marks or smudges that are not neat.
Effort/ Use of Time 25 pts	Exceeds Standards All members of the group work collaboratively to complete the project. Effort is beyond the expectations of the assignment.	Meets Standards Some group members put in consistent effort. Work is done most of the time, although the students may be occasionally off task.	Emerging Standards Group members put in adequate effort with some distraction or carelessness. Work is done some of the time, and the student is often off task.	Needs Improvement Group members put in no effort, student is distracted and careless. Work is not done, and the student is often off task.
