Creativity	Basic Student was unable to put themselves in the role of a slave living in the US during the 1850s, or produce a writing that reflected the decisions a slave would have to make regarding to flee or stay.	Proficient The student's writing only partially reflects that of an 1850s slave and the decisions that a slave would face.	Advanced The student was able to place themselves in the appropriate time period and attempted to make the decisions that the slave would make regarding the prospect of freedom.
