Rhythm	Poor The rhythm of the poems in this book did not enhance the meaning of the poem.	Fair The rhythm of the poems in this book somewhat enhanced the meanings of the poem.	Good The rhythm of the poem worked really well to exhibit the feeling of the poem. We could feel the meaning of the poem through the rhythm.
Sound Patterns	Poor The sound patterns used in this book were not effective to enhance the poetry.	Fair The poems in the book used some of the sound patterns to enhance the poems. They could have been used more and could have used a greater variety of devices.	Good The poems in this book used sound patterns to the utmost to give the poetry meaning. Examples of rhyming, alliteration, and onomatopoeia were some of the devices used.
