The artifact can be a book, picture, poster, CD, DVD, song lyrics, or website that adds to the presentation.	Basic One artifacts that is creative and neat, pertaining to the character. The artifact can be a book, picture, poster, CD, DVD, song lyrics, or website that adds to the presentation.	Below Basic No artifacts
Content	Advanced The oral report is factual and well researched. It is focused on the persons life and how they were influential in history. Gives 5 or 6 details.	Proficient The oral report is well researched. Some facts or examples needed more detail. Gives 3 or 4 details.	Basic The oral report may not be clearly focused on the persons life and how they were influential in history. Gives 2 details.	Below Basic The oral report does not have a clear focus and show little research with no mention of their influence on history. Gives only 1 detail.
Presentation	Advanced Student was dressed in appropriate costume for their character and used appropriate props. Student had note cards memorized and maintained eye contact during presentation.	Proficient Student was dressed appropriately in costume. Student used note cards very little and used some eye contact during the presentation.	Basic Student was dressed with minimal attention to character detail. Student read from the note cards and used minimal eye contact during the presentation.	Below Basic Student did not have costume appropriate to character. Student read from note cards with difficulty and had no eye contact with the audience.
