Weather Patterns Science Animal Lapbook - Grade 2 Each students will take notes for each lesson in a five different foldables and then display them in a lapbook for future study. Rubric Code: V8W9A7 By gteacher Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Science Type: Project Grade Levels: K-5

Content - Notes	level 1 Many errors and notes are missing.	level 2 Most notes were taken but there is iformation missing or some notes were inaccurate.	level 3 Notes were taken for every lesson. All important information is displayed	level 4 The notes have the most important information from the lesson. Teacher can tell that the student went above and beyond note taking expectations
Spelling & Grammar	level 1 Very little effort appears to have been put into spelling and grammar. Very diificult to read.	level 2 5-8 spelling or grammar errors. Distracting for the reader.	level 3 3 to 4 spelling or grammar errors. It does not distract from reading the notes.	level 4 Perfect! There are no grammar or spelling errors.
Overall Neatness	level 1 Project is torn. Materials appear messy. Project is free of stray marks. Handwriting is very poor and difficult to read.	level 2 Project is torn and is messy in appearance. There are signs of stains or stray marks. Handwrting is messy in some areas.	level 3 Project shows no sign of damage but could be better presented. Handwriting is fine.	level 4 Project shows no sign of damage and is perfectly put together. Handwriting is easy to read and pleasing to the eye.
Finish/Aesthetics	level 1 The student attempted with some design to create a pleasing project but failed to bring overall idea to life.	level 2 The student threw the project together and is unpleasing to view.	level 3 The student's project shows evidence of a well thought out design and is pleasing to view.	level 4 The student's project shows excellent use of design and is beautiful to look at.
