Creativity	Poor Your thoughts & ideas need to improve and you need to put in more effort. You are insightful & creative only when asked or reminded.	Fair Your thoughts & ideas are great, but could still use a little more insight & clarification.	Good Demonstrates a definite 'wow factor'. You are insightful & creative in your thoughts & ideas.
Pattern	Poor The pattern does not tesselate.	Fair The pattern was tesselated, but the shapes are not consistently congruent.	Good The pattern tesselated succesfully and all shapes are all congruent.
Picture	Poor The design is inconsisent. Different shapes were used in erroneous fashion and has gaps or spaces that are not true of a tesselation.	Fair There are no gaps or spaces, but shapes do not match up equally. For the most part, the design being attempted is recognizable as a tesselation.	Good The student demonstrates complete comprehension of how to make tessellations. There are no overlapping figures or gaps in the tessellation.
Quality	Poor The tessellation is not very neat (there were erasures, mark outs, etc.) AND the lines were not straight and consistent.	Fair The tessellation is relatively neat (there are a few erasures, mark outs, etc.) OR the lines were not straight and consistent.	Good Very neatly drawn. The tessellation was done neatly with no evident erasures or mark outs. The lines were straight and consistent.
Completeness	Poor The tessellation did not cover at least 1/2 of paper AND there were gaps in the design.	Fair The tessellation covers about 1/2 of paper and most of pattern is connected correctly. Could have been improved with more time.	Good The tessellation covered at least 1/2 of paper, with no gaps. Pattern completed correctly with consistancy.
