Draws a bug 3 pts worm ladybug (*bee) spider	Poor Can not draw or describe the body of the bug.	Fair The student can draw the body of a bug.(spider,worm,ladybug) Using some detail.	Good The student can draw the body of bugs and insects and give detail to each. (some labeling of their drawing)
Bug w/ job and dictates to teacher 3 pts Understands their job in a garden.	Poor The student cannot tell you the job of the bug.	Fair The student can tell one detail of the job of the bug(s) (1out of 3)	Good The student can tell with detail the job of the spider, the ladybug, and the worm.
Identifies characteristics of Bugs 3 pts Identifies the number of body parts of each kind of bug. Ident. other body characteristics.	Poor The student can not identify the characteristics of any of the 3 bugs we learned about. (characteristics are mixed-up)	Fair The student can describe one or two characteristics of bugs.	Good The student can describe 3 or more characteristics of bugs. (all 3 bugs)
