Greater Than/ Less Than Rubric
student have been taught the mathematically skill of telling whether a number is greater than or less than another number.

Student is able to tell whether a number is greater than through oral language & written language. Also, the student is able to explain why a number is greater than another number. Additionally, the student can individually solve 18 to 20 problems correctly out of 20 problems.
Good
Student is able to decipher whether a number is greater than through either oral language/written language. Student consistently uses the correct 'sign' towards the greater than number. The student can solve 14-18 problems correctly out of 20 with very little help from his or her teacher/aid.
Developing
Student understands the concept of greater than. However the student struggles with deciphering which number is greater than as well as being able to correctly angle the sign (<,>) towards the greater than number. The student needs individual assistance for each problem he or she attempts.
Poor
Student is unable to identify which number is greater than another number neither orally or visually.
Less Than
Exceptional
Student is able to tell whether a number is less than through oral language & written language. Also, the student is able to explain why a number is less than another number. Additionally, the student can individually solve 18-20 problems correctly out of 20 problems

Developing
Student is able to tell whether he or she has enough money to purchase an item, with assistance from a teacher/peer.
Poor
Student is unable to tell whether he or she has enough money to buy an item.
