Painting I: Value Project 
Student's were assigned to draw a picture of a still life in pencil then using a warm or cool color palette use watercolors. The students were asked to use the methods of glazing to create value in the work. Student were also asked to present their work at the highest level of craftsmanship. Students were also asked to write blogs throughout their project. They were asked to comment on what they learned through the unit and share image on their blog posts

Students were to demonstrate their understanding in drawing the objects in correct perspective and adding glazes to create value.

The still life was drawn exactly right, considering all the angles and different subjects.

There is clearly an understanding of values present.

Execution of Ideas, application of products. Artwork is clean. The lines are carefully created considering the final product. The student erased any stray marks or guidelines. They were also using vanishing and perpendicular lines correctly.

The artwork shows outstanding craftsmanship,with clear attention to detail.

Addition of glazing is neat and not messy. It does not "bleed" outside of the line.

Addition of more glazing could be better created. It was not overtly messy but looks rushed.

Blog should be done after each class and include a synopsis of the day and be accompanied by an image.

Blog is very complete. It shows every stage of the artwork, including a written statement of what happened each day. This is an excellent documentation of the students process and gives the teacher a whole picture of the end result.

Blog was completed on time. The student posted both a written statement and an image. The daily written work did not speak to why students made changes or additions to their piece. But it is a good record.

The blog was created but only images were posted had very few written entries about process.

The student did some blogging but not everyday. The blog has very little written about it. It is not a very good documentation of the daily archive that was assigned.
