	Good The student shows evidence of preparation and practice. 10 pts	Fair The student shows some evidence of practice and preparation. More is needed to become proficient. 5 pts	Poor The student needs to practice more, ask for assistance if needed, but try to improve , relax. More preparation will help with confidence. 3 pts
NOTES	Good The student plays correct notation at least 90% of the time.	Fair The student plays ocrrect notation at least 80% of the time.	Poor The student plays correct notation at least 70% of the time.
RHYTHM	Good The right hand/left hand rhythms are correctly played at least 90% of the time.	Fair The right hand/left hand rhythms are correctly played at least 70% of the time.	Poor The right hand/left hand rhythms are often incorrectly counted and played incorrectly.
FINGERING	Good 90% of chord fingering in the left hand (at least) is correct as well as right hand fingerings if given.	Fair 80% of chord fingering in the left hand (at least) is correct as well as right hand fingerings if given.	Poor Chord fingerings are not being played correctly.
TEMPO	Good The student keeps a steady beat throught the music selection.	Fair The student sometimes maintains a steady beat throughout the music selection.	Poor The student does not keep a steady beat through out the music selection.
Hand Position	Good The fingers are curved and the wrist is comfortable high as the student is playing.	Fair The student is doing a pretty good job but needs to curve fingers more, or adjust wrist position.	Poor The student is playing with flat fingers and a low wrist. He/she may be touching the keyboard with his/her palm while playing.
