Plays most of the pitches correctly with few errors and is able to recognize most notes within the assignd key.

Most pitches are played incorrectly and student is not able to recognize any notes within the assigned key.

Student performs the piece with appropriate dynamics, phrasings, and articulation.
Excellent
Most of the dynamics are followed, and most of the articulation signs are observed. Most phrases are performed correctly.
Average
Some dynamics are observed. Some articulation is performed. Some phrases are complete and musically accurate.
Retake / Non-Passing
No dynamics. No use of articulation. Most phrases are performed incorrectly, or there is no sense of phrasing at all.
Style/Interpretation
Superior
The performance of the piece is beautifully executed with both appropriate style and interpretation.
Excellent
Most of the piece is performed using correct style and interpretation.
Average
Some parts of the piece are performed using both correct style and interpretation.
Retake / Non-Passing
The style and interpretation of the piece is not executed during performance, or executed in the wrong style.
