The project on one poster paper or power point using fonts that are clear and easy to read. The abbrev., name, and atomic number will be typed in 36 pt. min. The poster will have the following info. arranged in a visually appealing manner: name origin, year discovered, # of natural & radioactive isotopes, state, melting & boiling points in ºC, combining ability, uses/products, and common compounds. A Bohr model is present.
The student will present the element and information to the class.
The project should be turned in on time and be neat. Students will lose 10% per day for late projects.
A picture depicting a use, the discoverer, a hazard, or some other relationship to the element will be inserted. Additional information is given to enhance the poster and knowledge of the element.
