Maniac Magee Book Report Rubric 
The student will write a report on the book Maniac Magee. They will need to include the title, author, setting, and a summary of the plot and talk about the main characters. They will also need to discuss the theme of mitzvot as it applies to the story, identifying at least three mitzvot that are performed in the story and what effect those mitzvot have on the characters. Finally, the student will write an overall opinion of Maniac Magee, describing why they would recommend this book to other fifth graders or why they would not recommend the book.
