Craftsmanship How well was the piece made?	Poor Novice understanding and application of artistic qualities. Little attention was paid to detail and the piece appears unfinished.	Fair Safety rules were followed and the piece was finished with little to no areas left unattended	Good Excellent and refined understanding and application of artistic qualities and in the use of art materials. Extreme attention to detail.
Creativity How original was your idea?	Poor Novice and restricted approach to developing an idea, with very limited evidence of risk taking in the development of the piece. (possible copyright infringement)	Fair the piece shows innovation in skills and technique, but may stay within their 'confort zone' to some extent.	Good Excellent approach to original thinking and expression, with evidence of risk taking
Attitude Did you use your time and those of your classmates wisely?	Poor Poor or negative attitude. Does not want to or refuses to try new media or techniques. This students' actions negatively affected those around them. (talking, rough housing, wasting materials, etc)	Fair student was well behaved and did not disrupt others. May not have asked questions or pushed themselves in using new media or technique.	Good Positive attitude. Highly motivated and receptive to trying new media and developing new techniques.
Use of Criteria Did you follow directions?	Poor Does not meet two or more of the stated criteria for the project	Fair May have only missed parts of one or more of the criteria for the assignment. The assignment is mostly complete minus a few minor details.	Good Meets all stated criteria and pushed themselves outside of their 'comfort zone' in order to complete the piece.
